CHUNICHI Newspaper reported that in Shizuoka prefecture, the members promoting “tea capital Shizuoka” held a meeting at the prefectural office to discuss its promotion plan.

The purpose of this project is to utilize the characteristics of Shizuoka, as Japan’s number one tea production region, and become a prefecture that not only enjoys drinking tea, but also its knowledge, culture and industry.

The chairman of the project feels that they need tea manufacturers that can introduce tea to the world, including its culture and history.

We hope that our effort in bringing the Japanese tea to the global market is aiming towards the same direction as this chairman’s future vision for the Japanese tea industry.
